Dark Water

“Dark Water” is a definite chilling psychological thriller. This film is about a couple going through a fight about the custody of their daughter Ceci (played by Ariel Gade), the mother Dahlia (played by Jennifer Connelly) knows that her husband Kyle (played by Dougray Scott) was cheating on her when he was suppose to be getting his daughter, so they split up. Dahlia and Kyle end up having to share custody of Ceci, so Dahlia ends up moving to a apartment complex with a children’s school right next to it. As Dahlia and Ceci get settled in Ceci starts to feel an unknown presence and also finds a leak coming from the above apartment. Leading Dahlia to ask the manager, but he says that no one has lived there for a very long time, but that he will check. Ceci begins to get scared easily and says that she doesn’t like where they live, even at school she has an odd incident that makes her teacher (played by Camryn Manheim) ask Dahlia if there is anything going on at home. Day by day and night by night, strange things start to happen , the ceiling continues to drip more and more and there are voices coming from the vacant apartment from above. Is it haunted? Just her imagination? There is a reason in the water and it is up to Dahlia to figure out the truth behind this sad darkness that has lurked its way into her life.
