Dolly Dearest

Dolly Dearest is about the Wade family that moves to Mexico in order for their father Elliot (played by Sam Bottoms) to start on his new Doll business. As soon as they get there Elliot takes his daughter Jessica (played by Candace Hutson) to the factory where he will fabricate the dolls and there just so happened to be a couple dolls left over from the previous factory owners so Elliot gives his daughter one of them. Little do they know that that the factory has been cursed, cursed because there is a mine right next to it with a hidden evil that has the ability to posses certain objects, such as dolls. It isn’t until the family starts to take notice in Jessica’s sudden bad behavior, that they become curious as to why. Their made Camilla (played by Lupe Ontiveros) notices that Jessica’s behavior has become hateful and rude, she begins to think that Jessica is possessed by an outside force. Is it the doll that is making her this way? She asks herself. Or is it just mood swings? Why doesn’t she go anywhere without the doll? Screaming if anyone were to touch the doll it’s just not normal. They say that the souls of the living become possessed and held hostage from evil outside forces, and each day that those forces have your soul they can only get stronger.
