When A Stranger Calls

“When A Stranger Calls”, follows a young teenage girl Jill Johnson (played by Carol Kane) who is asked to babysit after school for Dr. Mandrakis and Mrs. Mandrakis (played by Carmen Argenziano and Rutanya Alda). In the beginning after the parents had left Jill with their little boy and little girl, nothing really happened within the dark corners of their huge estate. Although Jill had been frightened by the darkness and how quiet it had been, until the phone rang the first time. “Hello?” “Anyone there?” but there was no response. Jill brushed it off and continued with her studying. A couple calls later she begins to get a bit frightened for she had heard heavy breathing on the other end and with only silence lurking about the hair stood up on the back of her neck, with trickling sweat starting. Then what finally came of her to call the cops, “Who is this!?” She screamed, “what do you want?” … Silence… then from the other side she hears, “have you checked the children?” Her heart begins to pound and she quickly calls the police. She thinks that there is someone inside the house but the police don’t think that there is and tell her to just stay calm and lock the doors and windows. It isn’t until she realizes that she hasn’t checked the children… Do you think that someone or something is inside of the Mandrakis residence?… You’ll soon find out.
